Deleting your data

Draft — awaiting counsel’s approval

No lawyer has reviewed this text yet. Our counsel or founders will fill in the square brackets marked with a ring. Once it is approved, this note goes and the date is updated.

How to ask

  1. Write to us. Email iletisim@solardetech.com with the subject “Please delete my data”, or write to our address (Üniversiteler Mah. 1597 Cad. No: 3 İç Kapı No: 127, Çankaya/Ankara).
  2. Help us find your data: your name; the phone number, or the WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook account, you used with Sol; the name of the business you talked to and roughly when.
  3. We check the request is yours. For example, we may ask you to send a short message from the same number or account. We don’t delete someone’s data without their request.
  4. We finish within 30 days. We tell you in writing what we deleted and give you a reference number, which you can use to ask about your request.

There is no charge, and you don’t need an account or to sign in.

If you connected Sol with Facebook Login

If you connected Sol to your Facebook account for a business, you can also remove Sol’s access yourself:

  1. On Facebook, open Settings & privacy and go to Settings.
  2. Find Apps and websites.
  3. Select Sol and choose Remove.

This stops Sol’s access to your account from then on. To delete the data we already received, also write to us as above. Facebook’s menu names change from time to time; if you can’t find them, write to us and we will help you remove it.

If you are a business’s customer

If Sol talked to you for a business, that business is responsible for your data. You can send your request to the business directly, or write to us. If you write to us, we pass your request on to the business and carry out the deletion.

What is deleted, and what may stay

Deleted

  • your messages and conversation transcripts;
  • the text from your voice notes;
  • photos and files you sent;
  • your name, phone number and account details;
  • if you connected Sol, the account details and access tokens we received from Meta.

May stay

  • Records the law requires us to keep (for example invoices), only for the statutory period.
  • De-identified statistics. Names, phone numbers, number plates and health details are removed from them, so they don’t identify you.
  • Meta’s own copies of messages you sent on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook. Those follow Meta’s rules; we can’t delete them.

What is deleted anyway

Even without a request: message text and conversation transcripts are deleted after 30 days; voice-note audio is deleted once it has been turned into text; phone call audio is never recorded. Details are in the privacy notice.
